Dear Eshvarhen,
You were diagnosed with Hand Foot Mouth on 10.01.2014.....and then you spread the infection to Bagyashri on 12.01.2014 and then Sakkti Velan on 13.01.2014. This year Ponggal no one dared come to the house for fear of an infection. Sakkti Velan missed 5 days of school, and I had to disinfect the whole house to ensure people who visited after the pandemic won't be infected.
I suppose the bright side is I don't have to worry that the three of you will pick it up again. The down side is, all of you refused to eat for almost 3 days...and that gave me the creeps. Eshvarhen even cut down on his milk..!
Today, all you toe nails fell off. This is an expected side effect of the disease, but it still freaked me out.
Bagyashri's symptoms were worse, thus her fingernails AND toenails ALL fell off.
Luckily for Annai, we managed to save his toenails and fingernails.
Just thought I'd make this entry to remind myself that sometimes, there is NO precaution that can prevent a little pandemic that is just mean to happen.....
